Adopt A Village

Through Hope 4 Kids International, Bridgewood has adopted Nambwa, a village in the foothills of eastern Uganda. Our 2019 Walk 4 Water fundraiser provided Nambwa with a well, fulfilling a vital need for clean water. When our Bridgewood team visited to dedicate that well, we met Josephine, a local woman who passionately advocated for safe water for her village. Inspired by her faith and God’s provision, she planted a church and began to pastor, leading many in the village to Christ.

In just a few short years Nambwa’s transformation has been remarkable. Clean water has improved their lives, allowing them to water crops and start a brick-making business, which helps pay for medical care and education. In 2023, Bridgewood helped the village build a church building and latrine, further supporting their path toward self-sufficiency. We now visit our sister village on every Uganda Mission Trip, continuing to build relationships and witness the impact of God’s work in Nambwa.

Hope 4 Women

Bridgewood partners with Hope 4 Women in two ways: Dress A Girl and Business Program Sponsorship.

Dress A Girl happens at Bridgewood on the second Sunday of each month. Our team makes dresses for girls in Uganda, providing them a level of dignity and protection against trafficking.  No sewing skills needed—help with cutting, fabric matching, accessorizing, or just enjoy the community. Let us know if you're interested!

The Business Program Sponsorship is a one year sponsorship for women, which helps provide them with education and the opportunity to start their own businesses.

Walk 4 Water

Walk 4 Water is a one-day fundraising event centered around a 3 - 4 mile course which symbolizes the average distance traveled by young children and women in search of water. Walk 4 Water events are held throughout the year and across the nation.

Bridgewood  hosts a Walk 4 Water event for our local community to raise money for wells and clean water in Africa.
